Casino Review

The best online casinos offer a variety of payment methods and have excellent customer support, including email, telephone helplines, live chat and even mobile apps. They also feature games from the best software developers in the industry, and offer fast transactions. Choosing the right casino for you will depend on your preferences and budget. For example, if you’re looking for more than just slots, make sure the site offers table games like roulette and blackjack.

Casino is a fascinating study of the Mafia’s relationship with Las Vegas, written by Nicholas Pileggi who had full access to Sam Rothstein (Robert De Niro), who ran casinos for the mob and was a key figure in the movie’s plot. It plays like a documentary for the first hour, with narration from Rothstein and others explaining how the mob skimmed millions out of the city’s casinos.

Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci give solid performances, but the picture is elevated by a superb performance from Sharon Stone as the feisty femme fatale every man would want to tame, then destroy. Her arc is the most impressive of the entire movie, and arguably her finest work after such stinkers as Basic Instinct and Silverr.

Despite its focus on mob gangsters and organized crime, the film also manages to convey some of the glitz and glamour that once made Vegas such a seductive place. And like Goodfellas, it carries the ambivalence that all gangster movies have about their subject, a feeling of disapproval at what’s been lost, mixed with a deep love for the way things once were.
