Before each round of betting begins, the first player to make a bet is known to be the “last.” After the last bet, the next player has the right to make a bet.

During the betting period, a player can bet, raise, or fold. Players may win a pot by bluffing, if their hand is better than the other hands.

The pot is the aggregate of all bets made by all players in one deal. The pot can be won by the player with the highest hand or by anyone who makes a bet that no one else calls.
