Poker is a game played by a group of people around a table. The goal of poker is to create the best possible hand. In order to do this, players need to have five cards. They can use any combination of the cards in their hand or from the deck.<\/p>\n
Poker is often played with a full 52-card deck, although there are also variants that use multiple packs. Some games include Wild Cards, which take any suit.<\/p>\n
Poker is usually played with a number of betting intervals. The player who has the best hand at the end of a betting interval wins the pot. During the betting interval, players can choose to make a bet, check, or fold. After the bet, the turn passes to the next player.<\/p>\n
When there is a tie, the player with the highest card breaks the tie. A high card outside of a four of a kind breaks the tie, so a hand with two fours of a kind with the same rank is a winner.<\/p>\n
Players can also choose to discard cards. They may discard up to three cards. Depending on the rules, a player may or may not be allowed to discard.<\/p>\n
Before the beginning of each betting round, each player is dealt two cards. Upon receiving the second card, the player can either call or raise.
