Poker is a card game with a lot of different variations, but all of them involve betting on the hands. To make a hand you must have at least a pair of cards of the same suit. A round of betting starts after each player receives 2 cards face down and a community card called the flop is dealt face up. When it is your turn to act, you must either call (match the bet of the player to your right) or raise it if no one has raised in that betting interval. If no one raises during your turn, you may “check” and maintain your check provided no other player has made a bet.<\/p>\n

Paying attention to these tells can help you decipher a player’s intentions.
